When I was a mixed infant at Calvert Road school in Greenwich we sang something about "Remember all the people who live in far off lands" which came out as "Reme-ember all the pe-ye-yeople who" etc. Now why should I remember that about 70 yeas later?

Singing -

Jesus bids us shine with a pure clear light
Like a little candle burning in the night!
In this world of darkness, so he bids us shine
You in your small corner
And I - in - mine!

This Kendrick must have got his idea from somewhere...
"Baldrick, you wouldn't recognise a cunning plan if it painted itself purple, and danced naked on top of a harpsichord singing "Cunning plans are here again.""

...and never forget, as you can tell by the age of some of the posters here.

as a new dep you will either share a study with one other or have your own, you can put posters up.
In the avenue house on my deps there was vast amounts of white wall to cover which i did....mainly with pictures of Jonny wilkinson (i think thats where the obsessional collection of pictures started).I covered my wall in all sorts of things-nice bags from shops, adverts from magazines, postcards and of course photo's.

It used to be pretty tight - one housemaster of mine wouldn't let us have anything except on the pinboards and the doors/windows, because the walls were newly painted after a 1 year, £4m refurbishment project. But nowadays it's more relaxed so I shouldn't worry too much. So long as the things you put up are suitable - and from what I've seen of your art it's definitely suitable (not to mention good) - there shouldn't be a problem. For myself, I have a poster of TB2 taking off over my door, and I'm taking a map of Middle-Earth (with the names in Sindarin :D:D:D) in after leave weekend.

PS. Tolkien is the great.

Ahh the wonderful world of Tolkein...
although i recognise and enjoy his work, i think i'm more of a fan of Jane Austen and Charlotte Bronte :P just a personal preferance!

and hurrah! it's going to be hard to choose which posters to take with me... i have so many i ran out of wall space and have covered half my ceiling! but i wont go that mad at CH, never fear!

by the way, just a passing thought, will i ever have to eat fish?
sounds a little odd, but that's pretty much the one thing i can't eat at all :P

Don't worry Idgie (or variant thereof  ), the walls at CH are very high! So high, in fact, that standing on my bed, I used to have to jump and bounce to reach the light switch on the main light (instead of using the master switch on the wall) which was about 2/3 of the way up. They must be 7 or 8 feet tall. So no matter how much art you have, you won't run out of room! Incidentally, you really must upload some more...

Nope, even with Fishy Friday (cue the calls of 'it's fishy friday, it's fishy friday..."), fish is never compulsory!

You say 'recognise and enjoy"...does that make you a tolkienite? I hope so - we're in short supply at Housey!

How's everyone?
What about postcards?
